- Mark
has worked in the environmental health and safety field since
1980, progressing from fieldwork in food, housing, employee safety
and hazardous waste to managing county programs in hazardous materials,
underground storage tank cleanup and emergency response teams.
Since joining the State of California, Mark has worked statewide
with hazardous materials emergency response teams developing training
and response plans. He has served as safety officer at multiple
hazardous waste site investigations and cleanups and has provided
training in a variety of safety training courses.
- His
present assignment at CCI includes review of the Injury and Illness
Prevention Program, Hazard Communication Program, Chemical Hygiene
Plan, Respiratory Protection Program and Clan Lab Operations.
He assists the eleven BFS laboratories with safety and environmental
issues, as well as providing consultation to local forensic labs.
He is the lead instructor for CCIs Lab Safety Officer course
as well as the Clan Lab Operations and Emergency Response weeklong
and refresher courses taught for BFS personnel.
